BIOGRAPHY:
Michael Grieve was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, in 1966. After travelling the Middle East he moved to London to become a documentary photographer and studied a degree in Film, Video & Photographic Arts at the Polytechnic of Central London. In 1997 he graduated from the Photographic Studies MA at the University of Westminster and proceeded to work for magazines and organisations worldwide. His first book, No Love Lost, is a project about dislocation and intimacy in sexual environments in England and is soon to be published. He is the deputy editor for the contemporary photography magazine, 1000 Words. He describes his work as ‘searching for the light of possibility in an existential world’. Based in London.
